Interesting that you treat your 6 years in the military more as a job. I somewhat expected that this separation between one's days in the military and life could be found more likely at war time as many soldiers during war time are sort of "forced" into the military. (I conducted a series of interviews with WWII German soldiers back in 2000 as a class project.) I understand that you miss the guns lolol Many GI's choose to join the police force after they get out of the armed forces; what triggered you to work as a firefighter instead?
You must have gone through a lot during that one year in Iraq. (I was still at school that year.) May I ask how triggered you to get out of the Army and move on with your life? What do you miss the most about the army?
Thanks for swinging by. How long did you serve in the Army? By the way, I have worked with veterans diagnosed with combat PTSD back in my school days as a psychotherapist in training, primarily Nam vets.
